Rwanda Flowery black tea

This rich, rounded, aromatic black tea summons and savours the timeless splendours of Rwanda. Generous, sweet almond notes reflect the lush green hills and open horizons of a land where humanity rose from unions of earthly women and Ibimanuka, princes of heaven. The palate-refreshing optimism of sunflowers relishes the ebullience of this first love, while a hint of rose petals serves to remind us that we are all the grandchildren of God.

The Ibimanuka’s royal lineage is rooted in the Rwandan story of the fall to Earth of his ancestor, Muntu, the King of Heaven’s son. As the first human, he became the people’s first father and first ruler as he gloriously created Mankind and founded “The Descents’” dynasty. His spirit lives on through the Ibimanuka, who holds his authority not as a single king, but as the representation of the creation of life.
