precious teas OF AFRICA

All our teas are ethically sourced and grown solely on the African soil, blended and packaged to the highest International standards. They have been acclaimed by Michelin Star Chefs globally for their sophisticated, subtle and original mix of flavours.

Our signature blends are exclusively created by YSWARA’s founder Swaady Martin and include unique African ingredients such as rooibos, honeybush, buchu, kola nut, wild yam, Penja pepper, etc. Our full leaf orthodox teas are carefully curated from Africa’s best tea estates. and support traditional harvesting methods. Each leaf has been patiently handpicked, hand-rolled and sun-dried to ensure exceptional quality. Whole leaf tea absorbs water and expands as it infuses. It is the best way to extract flavors and aromas from the leaves.

OUR PRECIOUS LEAVES ARE HARVESTED BY FARMERS WHOSE BOND WITH THE EARTH IS AS NATURAL AS BREATHING.

At Yswara we value ancient African ideas and incorporate such wisdom into our blends. We seek to emphasise the central role of African ingredients in the world’s great tea tastes. We are inspired by the dill, liquorice, basil, caraway, parsley, fenugreek, coriander and thyme medico-spiritual infusions described in the Ebers Papyrus. We draw strength from the religious and healing rituals of San peoples of the Cape Floristic Kingdom in each sip of Buchu (Agathosma Betulina), Honeybush (Cyclopia) and Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis).

AFRICAN QUEENS

The Collection is inspired by Africa's commanding legacy of female leadership. In tea we travel with the soaring spirits of women warriors, the intense adoration of maternal majesty and the dynamism of economic empires ancient and modern. Each infusion embraces the layered loveliness of herb, spice and flower macerated teas because the daughters of Africa know that power has nothing to do with growing a beard and everything to do with standing on your own two feet.
